My Trip to Chile
Yesterday Sophie and I went to Chile! It was amazing, we saw Easter Island, or Hanga Roa in the indigenous language, and Mount Villarrica we even went on the Skorpios Cruise II - San Rafael Lagoon. In case you're wondering Easter Island doesn't acually have anything to do with Easter, but it is really cool. Easter Island is an island located about one thousand miles off the coast of Chile. Scientists have said that the islands statue heads called Moais may have existed more than 800 years ago! The Moais are scattered all around the island surrounded by amazing beaches, some of the beaches, like Ovenhe, have pink sand!

We went to two volcanoes the first being Mount Villarrica. Rising above a lake and town that share the same name, Mount Villarrica is one of only five worldwide volcanoes that has a live lava lake in its crater. It is also one of the most active volcanoes. Also known as Rucapillán in the language Mapuche Mount Villarica is a very beautiful volcano.

The second volcano we went to is called Orsorno Volcano. The Orsorno Volcano is described as a symbol of the local landscape, and is noted for its similar appearance to Mount Fuji. It stands 2,652-metres high on the coast of the southeastern shore of Llanquihue Lake.
